The veteran ability of the visiting Pali Blues was too much for the young Colorado Rush Women Friday night at NAAC. The visitors scored once in the first half but the game changed for good in the 60th minute when Rush defender Kellyn Farrell was sent off with a red card for a hand ball in the penalty box and Pali made the ensuing penalty kick to go up 2-0. Pali would add another six minutes later to extend the lead to 3-0.
Rush pulled one back in the 85th minute when Sam Harder floated a free kick into the box where 80th minute substitute Denali Murnan rose above the Pali defense to head home a great goal and Murnan’s first with the Rush Women.
The Rush women will look to get back on track on Sunday when they host league leading Seattle Sounders at 2:00PM at the NAAC. Bring your dad and bring some noise!
