Hampton Roads Adds Coach
Jeff Staylor named Piranhas Assistant Coach

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – The Hampton Roads Piranhas announced today the naming of Jeff Staylor as assistant coach of the club’s women’s team, the W-League Piranhas. He will be assisting head coach Wendy Kotwas Waddell in all facets of team training and development.

A Norfolk native and an avid youth coach and player, Staylor has been involved in the Hampton Roads soccer community for many years. He began his coaching career with Neighborhood Youth Soccer League (NYSL) in Virginia Beach, continued coaching with the Old Dominion Soccer Club (ODSC) and is now both a coach and the Executive Director for the club. He also served as ODSC’s president. Staylor holds a USSF “D” license.

As a club player, Staylor has played for coed and men’s teams, winning the USASA Coed National Championship three times with his squad. His men’s teams have won the Virginia Challenger Championship and the Virginia/Metro DC Men’s State Cup.

Staylor resides in Virginia Beach with his wife Anna and their three children. Daughter Rebecca plays soccer for the varsity squad at Kellam High School, son Hunter plays for ODSC (coached by his Dad) and youngest son Zachary plays for NYSL.

The W-League Piranhas kick off their 2008 campaign on May 10 in Atlanta, opening at home on May 17 against Tampa at 7 PM at Virginia Wesleyan College.
