W-League All-League Team announced

TAMPA, FL – United Soccer Leagues announced today the 2004 W-League All-League team, honoring 11 of the league’s top players for their performances this season.
The regular season champion New Jersey Wildcats saw all three of their All-Conference players also named to the All-League team. Internationals Anne Makinen (Finland), Kelly Smith (England) and Marinette Pichon (France) were selected at defender, midfielder and forward, respectively.
The W-League championship host Ottawa Fury had two players honored on the All-League team. Leisha Alcia was honored at goalkeeper and leading scorer Kelly Parker was named as a forward.
The All-League team was voted on by team coaches and general managers. The W-League and PDL individual player honors will be announced next week.
