TAMPA, FL – United Soccer Leagues announced Wednesday its USL W-League and Premier Development League Teams of the Week for the fifth week of the season, honoring Toronto’s Sylvia Forbes and Michigan’s Kenny Uzoigwe as the Players of the Week, respectively.

Deadlocked in a scoreless draw at halftime, Forbes broke loose in the second half by putting four strikes past US international goalkeeper Kristen Luckenbill.

Toronto took the lead early into the second half.  Robin Rushton’s run down the right side of the field ended with a low centering pass that found unmarked striker Sylvia Forbes in front of goal.  She tapped in from close range to give the Lady Lynx a 1-0 lead in the 51st minute.

Toronto made it 2-0 in the 77th minute.  Sylvia Forbes picked up a loose ball after a scramble in the box and curled the ball into the bottom left of Luckenbill’s goal.

Forbes earned a hat-trick and made it 3-0 two minutes later after she slotted home Loredana Riverso’s cross from the right.

It was 4-0 to Toronto through Forbes’ fourth goal of the game.  She tapped in from close range after Allysha Chapman’s centering pass from the left flank.

Uzoigwe led a Bucks rally to a 3-1 win over Fort Wayne. Following a scoreless first half that was delayed 30 minutes due to lightning, the fireworks started early with a Fort Wayne goal in the 48th minute.  The Fever converted their first shot of the evening when defender Boniventure Misiko put his first goal of the year past Bucks keeper Dominic Cervi.

The Bucks outshot Fort Wayne 15-1 during the match, but did not get on the scoreboard until they were awarded a penalty kick for a hand ball in the 60th minute. First year Bucks striker Kenny Uzoigwe (Toledo) entered the game as a substitute just in time to convert the Bucks' first goal of the season from the penalty spot.

As the Bucks' continued to press, they were rewarded with their first lead of the year when veteran midfielder Erik Nelson played a high ball into the goal area for teammate Del Olaoye, who headed the ball into the goal past the hard charging Fever goalkeeper in the 67th minute.

From that point, the Michigan team knocked the ball around successfully, largely due to the midfield play of Nate Jafta  and the defending of Mike Holody. Jafta crossed a beautiful ball into the mixer that was converted on a diving header by Uzoigwe in the 82nd minute for a 3-1 Bucks lead.

Uzoigwe's teammates were looking for the speedy forward to complete his hat-trick, which he did by finishing a nice goal off a cross from Mychal Turpin in the 90th minute.
