The win saw ETA jump Fredericksburg in the South Atlantic Division, but whether or not that will be enough to make it to the W20 Championship presented by Nike remains to be seen.

The Impact struck first, with just four minutes gone midfielder Rachael Leaf collected a ball from forward Shannon Wratchford and dispatched it into the back of the net. ETA answered in the 21st minute when Morgan Singer fed Sydney Omweg to equalize. Later, in the 38th minute, Alexis Williams found Sarah Smith to give United the lead.

The Impact did not relent and continued to create chances, but could not find the end product. At the final whistle ETA’s keeper Kelsey Hecker had been forced to make 23 saves.
