TORONTO, Ont. - The Ottawa Fury Women collected all six possible points on their weekend road trip following their 1-0 win against the Toronto Lady Lynx on Sunday afternoon thanks to a second-half tally from Ashley Seal. Ottawa, now 7-1-0, sits clear atop the Central Division with 21 points thanks to its 10-0 win at London on Saturday and today's 1-0 victory in Toronto.

Until Ottawa's loss to Hamilton early in the season, Toronto was the only team in the division to have handed the Fury a regular season loss in the past seven years. Their history and their battles have been well documented as almost every meeting plays out the same - intense battles and plenty of hostility.

Sunday afternoon's match played out no differently with plenty of physical play and limited chances with neither side willing to give an inch in the midfield. Mallory Outerbridge would produce the Fury's best chance of the first half, but was unable to find the target and the two sides would settle for a scoreless opening 45 minutes.

After the Lady Lynx produced the first quality chance of the second half, but Fury would respond with a chance of their own. After continued pressure after an Ottawa free kick, Mallory Outerbridge sent a shot through that was redirected by a toe-poke from Ashley Seal would gave the Fury the lead through 65 minutes.

In the 81st minute Katrina Gorry sent Kelly Conheeney clean through, but her strike glanced over the bar. Jasmine Phillips recorded her fourth shutout of the season as the Fury improved to 7-1-0 to take a four-point lead in the Central Division. Ottawa will prepare to face the Hamilton FC Rage on June 30 and 7 p.m. as they look to extend their home unbeaten streak to 29 games. Hamilton handed the Fury their only loss back on May 27 by a 2-0 scoreline.
