ATLANTA, GA -- The Atlanta Silverbacks Women are gearing up for another great season at Atlanta Silverbacks Park. The 'Backs Women, who will be kicking off their sixth season, are looking forward to another chance at the W-League title. After winning the Atlantic Conference last year with an impressive 10-1-1 record, the Silverbacks are hoping that 2010 will be their year.
"Last year we were able to bring in some new talent, while our veterans continued to anchor our team and provide the consistency that we have considered crucial to our success. This season we are looking to build upon that, bringing in some up-and-coming college players and youth rising stars," commented Atlanta Silverbacks Women's General Manager, Laura Fedrigo.
Season Tickets On Sale for 2010
The Silverbacks will be bringing back the Friends and Family Pass for the 2010 season. The F&F Pass is $100 and allows admittance for up to 6 individuals on each pass, for each game. With the purchase of the F&F pass, fans can bring different friends or family members to each game - all general admission seating.
"The Family & Friends Pass was a huge success last season and we are bringing it back for 2010. Many of our fans appreciated the flexibility, as well as the affordability for families during these cost conscious times. We are going to continue to be family friendly, we believe accessibility for all fans in key," said Fedrigo. "Also returning this season will be our Second Annual Disability Awareness night, where we highlight local charities and have a rematch for our wheelchair teams.
The 2010 Silverbacks Women's season will kick off in May - the League is expected to announce the 2010 Schedule later this month. Season passes can be purchased online at http://www.atlantasilverbacks.com/wleague/tickets.php.
Silverbacks Women Tryouts - 2010
The Silverbacks, who will start announcing players in late January, will be hosting open tryouts in late April.
