PORTLAND, OR - At the age of 21, Sophie Schmidt has already accomplished more than many players do in their entire career. She’s the proud owner of 43 caps with the senior national team, and she’s appeared in both the Olympics (Beijing, 2008) and the FIFA Women’s World Cup (2007). She was also part of a W-League championship in 2006 with the Vancouver Whitecaps, her summer club side.
