OTTAWA, QUEBEC – The Ottawa Fury Women have returned to the W-League Championship Semi-Finals after a thrilling 2-1 victory over the FC Indiana Lionesses in Lafayette, Indiana on Sunday night.

The Fury will now travel to Boyds, Maryland where they will face the Washington Freedom on Saturday, August 1 at 6:00 PM ET at the Maryland SoccerPlex with the victor advancing to the W-League Championship Final on Friday, August 7.
The Regular Season Champions Hudson Valley Quickstrike Lady Blues will take on the reigning W-League Champion Pali Blues in the other semifinal on Friday evening in New York.
Ottawa will look to return to the W-League Championship Final for the third time in Club history (2005 and 2006), but will have to defeat the 12-1-1 Washington Freedom, who eliminated the Fury from the postseason in 2007 with a 1-0 victory over Ottawa in the Conference Final.
Washington is led by midfielder Jennifer Parsons (12 goals and 30 points) and strikers Meghan Lenczyk (9 goals) and Brittany Tegeler (8 goals). The Fury hold an all-time record of 2-2 in semi-final games falling in 2003 and 2004, but advancing to the finals in 2006 and 2007. Ottawa also boasts an all-time playoff record of 14-6.
