The New Jersey Wildcats defeated the Ottawa Fury in the second semifinal Saturday evening by a score of 2-1 at the W-League Championship tournament in Ottawa, Ontario. Like the Whitecaps in the first semifinal, the Wildcats never trailed in the match as they built a 2-0 lead and held on as the Fury battled back to within a goal.

United Soccer Leagues announced today that the 2004 W-League Championship will be hosted by the Ottawa Fury Soccer Club. The regular season winners of the Eastern, Central, and Western Conferences will join the host Ottawa Fury in the final four competition to be held August 7th and 8th in Canada's capital city. USL also announced the 2004 W-League playoff format.
